The Athletics and Recreation Department at Wilfrid Laurier University is committed to providing a safe and fun camp experience for our campers. The safety of our campers, their families and our staff are our priority. We strive to make each camper feel welcome and included while finding a sense of community and a place to feel at home.
Boys Basketball Camp: (8-15 years) Boys Basketball Summer Camp provides young athletes with the chance to improve their individual skills, team concept and spirit in a fun and competitive atmosphere. Each player is given special attention with a maximum player to coach ratio of 10:1. Participants are grouped in divisions based on age, skill and playing ability which allows players to learn about team chemistry and game development. Camp includes: T-shirt, Basketball, Friday “Wear your Favorite Player Jersey” Day, Team and Individuas Awards and Prizes, a photo with Midas and Friday lunch!
Camp Offered: Week 3: July 15-19, Week 7: Aug 12-16.
Age of Camp Participants/Grouping: Boys Basketball Camp is designed for boys 8-15 years of age. Groups will be made based on age and skill level. Our staff to camper is ratio is 1:10 for this program.
Staff: The Laurier Men’s Basketball Team staff and athletes!
Facilities: The Laurier Athletic Complex located at 75 University Ave West, Waterloo. (corner of King Street and University Ave)
Camp hours of operation are from: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Cost: $295.00 per child
*Extended Care available for an additional cost
Refund Policy and Notes
In the event that you cancel your child’s camp session, a minimum of 10 days’ notice prior to the start date of the camp is required for a refund, less a $50 administrative fee. Should you fail to give 10 days’ notice, you will be required to pay the full camp fee.
Liability Waiver to be read and agreed to during registration:
I give my permission for my son/daughter to participate in the Golden Hawk Sports Camps. We will not hold liable the camp directors, counselors, staff, Wilfrid Laurier University or their staff for any personal theft, illness, or injury sustained while attending. As per the Personal Health Information Protection Act, filling out an OHIP number on a camp application form is voluntary. Should a parent or guardian choose not to supply this information, they should be reachable in the event of an emergency.
