The Athletics and Recreation Department at Wilfrid Laurier University is committed to providing a safe and fun camp experience for our campers. The safety of our campers, their families and our staff are our priority. We strive to make each camper feel welcome and included while finding a sense of community and a place to feel at home.
Co-ed Elite Basketball Camp: (both genders 12-16 years) Join the Wilfrid Laurier Men's Basketball team coaching staff for a week Elite Basketball Camp, the camp is designed with the goal in mind to enhance athlete’s work ethic, skill development and basketball IQ.
Skills and drills are developed to engage athletes in game play breakdown on the offensive and defensive end of the court. This High-Performance Coed Camp is for higher-level athletes from 12-16 years old.
The curriculum will focus on the in-depth fundamentals of the game: footwork, shooting, finishing, passing, and ball handling.
Our 1 to 5 athletes to coaches’ ratio will ensure the quality of the training and allows for a detailed oriented coaching philosophy.
Camp will include: Reversable basketball jersey, a basketball, an individual report and development plan, and friday lunch!

Age of Camp Participants/Grouping: COED Basketball Camp is designed for boys and girls ages 12-16 years of age.
Staff: The Laurier Men’s Basketball Team staff and athletes!
Facilities: The Laurier Athletic Complex located at 75 University Ave West, Waterloo. (corner of King Street and University Ave)
Camp hours of operation are from: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Cost: $315.00 per athlete*Extended Care available for an additional cost
Refund Policy and Notes
In the event that you cancel your child’s camp session, a minimum of 10 days’ notice prior to the start date of the camp is required for a refund, less a $50 administrative fee. Should you fail to give 10 days’ notice, you will be required to pay the full camp fee.
Liability Waiver to be read and agreed to during registration:
I give my permission for my son/daughter to participate in the Golden Hawk Sports Camps. We will not hold liable the camp directors, counselors, staff, Wilfrid Laurier University or their staff for any personal theft, illness, or injury sustained while attending. As per the Personal Health Information Protection Act, filling out an OHIP number on a camp application form is voluntary. Should a parent or guardian choose not to supply this information, they should be reachable in the event of an emergency.
