Activity & Multisport Camps 2025 - Golden Hawk Jr. Activity Camps (ages 5-7)

The Athletics and Recreation Department at Wilfrid Laurier University is committed to providing a safe and fun camp experience for our campers. The safety of our campers, their families and our staff are our priority. We strive to make each camper feel welcomed and included while finding a sense of community and a place to feel at home.

Golden Hawk Jr. Activity Camps ( 5-7 years): Join us for an exciting summer filled with activities, games, crafts, and themed days that will keep your little hawk entertained! This full-day camp program is offered for kids 5-7 years of age (or turning 5 by end of calendar year). Your little hawk will have the opportunity to engage in group games, crafts, swimming, rock climbing, sports, science experiments and more! We also have “Friday Funday” which includes pizza lunch, and freezies at the end of the day. 

Camp includes: T-shirt, Midas Photo, Friday Pizza Lunch & More! 

Age of Camp Participants/Grouping: Jr. Hawks Activity Camp is designed for children 5-7 years of age. All children reaching the minimum age in this year are welcome to join. Our staff to camper is ratio is 1:8 for this age group.

Staff: Enthusiastic Laurier student staff that certified in First aid and CPR, and High Five (Principles of Healthy Child Development)

Facilities: The Laurier Athletic Complex located at 75 University Ave West, Waterloo. (corner of King Street and University Ave)

The following sessions and themes are offered: July & August 2025

Week 1 – Safari Adventures:  July 2-4, 2025 *3-day week*
Week 2 – Wild West:  July 7-11, 2025
Week 3 -  Carnival Craze:  July 14-18, 2025
Week 4 – Beach Party:  July 21-25, 2025
Week 5 – Golden Hawks Got Talent:  July 28-Aug 1, 2025
Week 6 – When I Grow Up:  August 5-8, 2025 *4-day week*
Week 7 – Golden Hawks Sports-a-Thon:  August 11-15, 2025
Week 8 – Around the World:  August 18-22, 2025

Camp hours of operation are from: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Cost: $275.00 per child
Short Weeks: July 2-4 $165.00, and Aug 5-8 $220.00 per child

*Extended Care available for an additional cost

Refund Policy and Notes
In the event that you cancel your child’s camp session, a minimum of 10 days’ notice prior to the start date of the camp is required for a refund, less a $50 administrative fee. Should you fail to give 10 days’ notice, you will be required to pay the full camp fee.

Liability Waiver to be read and agreed to during registration:
I give my permission for my son/daughter to participate in the Golden Hawk Multi-Sport Camp. We will not hold liable the camp directors, counselors, staff, Wilfrid Laurier University or their staff for any personal theft, illness, or injury sustained while attending. As per the Personal Health Information Protection Act, filling out an OHIP number on a camp application form is voluntary. Should a parent or guardian choose not to supply this information, they should be reachable in the event of an emergency. OHIP Numbers and Medical Information/Allergies are asked for at the checkout process. If you need to supply more information, please email us at camps@laurierathletics.com

I accept full responsibility for my level of participation and use of equipment by exercising my judgment, based on my own experience and competence. In consideration of approval to participate in such activity, I and any personal representative, hold harmless, release and forever discharge Wilfrid Laurier University and Department of Athletics and Recreation, their directors, officers, faculty, staff, students, volunteers, agents, trainees, or employees from any and all actions, causes of actions, claims, and demands for damages, loss or injury, resulting from or arising out of my participation in such activities.
